FACADE'S DEPARTURE
Jayd "Facade" Steele tries to win back his ex-girlfriend, Iris Lee, claiming to have moved on from his dogmatic and violent past. Having convinced Iris to take him back into her arms, they now both face the mission of having to regain the faith of Iris's friends, confirming Jayd's worth once and for all.
Facade's Departure is a concept EP that also serves as the backstory of the main antagonist of the SlightlyCubic universe, Facade. The EP began development in early June of 2025 with "The Crowning" being the first song written for it, although it's missing from the tracklist for narrative purposes. It was preceded by a small tour (the first ever SlightlyCubic tour), entitled "The Facade Tour". Jayd played 7 shows from late August to late September of 2025, one of which being a spontaneous digital show taking place in his discord server. It continues the trend of SlightlyCubic "albums" having a narrative to follow, with the exception of the fifth song, that being a bonus/non-canon cover of "The Mind Electric" by Miracle Musical.
Facade's Departure explores themes of ego, love, self-worth and suicide.
